...hello again ! we are about to get very longwinded.
as stated before, i primarily go by rex, or horse(s); however, rave or ravestab are also totally cool with me. at the time of writing i am 28 (and i am likely to forget to update this). i really answer to any pronouns these days, but in particular i enjoy they/he/it/xe and the toki pona headnouns ona/ilo. i am a nonbinary butch lesbian weirdo.
i know for sure i learned about secondlife for the first time at the very tail end of middle school. i vividly can remember joining, going to the KZK sim, being very confused.. and logging off and forgetting about it for like, another year or two. by the time i actually figured out how to play, i learned about new citizens incorporated and luskwood, met some very cool and nice people, and eventually things began to click for me. i really, really liked this weird little game..!!
i had a big blast making furries with the basic freebie stuff youd find floating around (and frankly, ive found it fun to come back to in the modern day. i digress). as a reward for good grades and such every so often, i would be rewarded with being allowed to spend $20 on some linden. i think the very first avatar i ever paid for was an old mutation industries one, the unicorn. i might be wrong, its been foreverrrrrrr. i lost my first ever account in a very, very, very stupid way, but ive been on my current one ever since then.
by the time i started questioning my gender and stuff in high school, i realized secondlife could actually be a safe place i could experiment with presentation. having the freedom to make an avatar be quite literally anything, any shape, etc etc i wanted was IMMENSELY freeing in a way that is a little difficult to articulate. ive had so many stupid, hilarious adventures over the years on here, but i would be remiss to not say that if it was not for secondlife, i dont think i would have ever had the courage to confidently live as myself, online and off. slowly but surely, thru this experimentation, i began to discover just how much i really loved to do inworld photography of my avatars. this is something that has persisted to this very day !
i had experimented here and there with creating personal mods on here in the years prior, but it wasnt until late 2024 that i actually began to actively create things with the intention of sharing them with friends and selling them. i opened my store SEVENTH STAKE some time after. the title is of course an umineko reference, but hilariously, asmodeus isnt my absolute fave of the stakes. thatd go to mammon and leviathan. HOWEVER...... i love every single stake of purgatory so much. please talk to me about umineko. ok.
with SEVENTH STAKE came along me joining many of my friends in forming SCRIMBLO WORLD, a weird queer art collective dedicated to modify perms whenever possible, and being weird toony silly little dudes inworld. it is some of the most fun ive had creating anything in the past who knows how long, and im so happy to be a part of it with so many cool goddamn people. for more info on it, you can check the dedicated tab to it, tho.
i really, really love SL. i love making ocs, i love letting my alters have a more 'physical form' thru it to exist around our friends / other people, i love the physicality in general of being around people on there... i love how absolutely ridiculous and funny it can be, and i love the creative blood that flows through it just by the nature of what it is.
